Two neighbouring rural and urban municipalities had been in conflict over inter-municipal issues for many years. Barbara worked with the parties through mediation as they resolved past grievances and forged ahead and created an annexation agreement, a joint development agreement and a new positive working relationship.
A landowner group and an energy company squared off over well applications in an area. Instead of escalating the issues, they engaged Barbara’s mediation services and addressed and resolved significant operational issues. Along the way they improved their communication and understanding of mutual perspectives.
